Meet Edwin 

Hi, I’m Edwin, and I’m new to the area but certainly not new to caring for animals!

I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, growing up on farms and helping care for all sorts along the way. From farm animals and chickens to hamsters and even a chameleon, I’ve always had a real love for animals and their wonderfully different personalities.

I’ve also had plenty of hands-on experience raising and breeding chickens, from caring for the adults through to looking after chicks as they grow. Over the years, I’ve had a mixture of animals that I've adopted and those I’ve raised from a young age, giving me an understanding of how different their needs can be. Some animals need a little extra time to settle and build trust, while others seem to have confidence from day one!

These days, my own little family includes two Beagles, a cat, a marine aquarium and an outdoor pond. And if you ask my Beagles, they’ll probably tell you that they look after me! Having two Beagles has certainly taught me that every animal has their own character, routine and, sometimes, very strong opinions. 
 

My experience doesn't stop at furry friends either. I spent five years working in an aquatics shop specialising in marine fish and coral, giving me a real passion for aquatic life and valuable experience in caring for aquatic environments. I also have 20 years of experience keeping aquariums at home, so looking after animals with fins is just as familiar to me as those with paws!

Over the years, I’ve cared for animals of all shapes and sizes, and one thing I’ve learned is that no two pets are the same. Some are full of energy, some would happily spend all day on the sofa, and others make sure you know exactly when dinner is due!

For me, caring for animals is about much more than simply feeding them or taking them for a walk. I understand that your pets are part of your family, and looking after them is a big responsibility.

I take the time to get to know each pet, their personality and their routines, so they feel happy, safe and comfortable. Whether they need a walk, playtime, a cuddle, feeding or simply some company while you're away, I’ll give them the same care and attention I would want for my own.

I’m looking forward to getting to know the local area, meeting lots of lovely people and, most importantly, meeting all the four-legged, furry, feathered, scaly and finned members of your family.

Although, if you happen to have a Beagle...
